Maisam Fazel is a Consultant who specialises in a wide range of Aesthetic Surgery procedures. He has a unique background in both Plastic and Breast Surgery and is thus also actively involved in Breast Care and Reconstruction.
Mr Fazel read medicine at Cambridge University (where he was awarded the University Prize in Surgery) followed by a residency in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in East Africa. On his return to the UK, he trained at leading teaching hospitals in London, Paris and Milan. During his training, he was selected for a National Fellowship at the renowned Nottingham Breast & Reconstruction Unit, where he trained within the Plastic Surgery department.
Subsequently, he was one of the very few surgeons to be awarded the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons Cosmetic Fellowship where he gained extensive experience in a wide range of cosmetic procedures under leading Plastic Surgeons in the UK.
To further his training, Mr Fazel undertook an additional cosmetic fellowship in the United States where he worked with internationally renowned Aesthetic and Plastic surgeons.
On the academic front, Maisam Fazel has published widely in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery and has been invited to present his work at national and international aesthetic meetings where he has won several awards.
Mr Fazel is registered with the General Medical Council (number 4767420) and is on the specialist register. He is an active member of a number of national and international reconstructive and cosmetic surgery organisations.
Outside medicine, Maisam Fazel enjoys tennis, skiing and scuba diving. He is an assessor for the Duke of Edinburgh scheme and recently climbed Mt Kilimanjaro. He is also involved in a number of wildlife conservation projects in East Africa and regularly volunteers for charity health camps in the developing world.
Maisam Fazel believes each patient has unique aesthetic goals and places a great deal of importance in offering a detailed, honest consultation to help his patients achieve their desired outcome.
